The comments by Birla came after a Parliamentary Delegation led by the Speaker of the National Assembly of Bhutan, Wangchuk Namgyel on Monday met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla at Parliament House Complex.
According to Geo News, Khan's comments come in the wake of sedition cases filed against his party's Senior Vice-President Fawad Chaudhry and former member of National Assembly Shandana Gulzar, while Senator Azam Swati and Shahbaz Gill were booked earlier for speaking against the military.
A majority of the lawmakers opposed launching another operation to eliminate terrorism and questioned the efficacy of previous operations, reported Dawn.

Pakistan's National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf approved the resignation of over 40 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmakers in the lower house, according to Geo News citing sources.
The PTI lawmakers had resigned from the lower house of the parliament after PTI chief Imran Khan's ouster in April 2022 but the National Assembly Speaker had accepted only 11 of the resignations then.
