Targeting the BJP ahead of the state assembly polls which is scheduled to be held next month, Nath wrote on X (formerly twitter), "BJP is fighting a battle for survival not for the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh."
CM Chouhan said, "Now I want to ask Kamal Nath, why do you do such work that you have to face abuses? If you have to face abuse, then don't face it yourself and give power of attorney to someone else to face it."

Ahead of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, the video of an on-stage light banter between Congress leaders Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh has emerged after which BJP calls it a sign of infighting and Congress leaders saying the video just captures a light moment between two veterans.
Congress on Tuesday released its manifesto for the Madhya Pradesh assembly polls next month and made a slew of promises including Old Pension Scheme, caste census, Nari Samman Nidhi of Rs 1500 per month to women, Rs 25 lakh health insurance and 27 per cent reservation for OBCs in governme
"4000 people have expressed their wish to contest the election but we cannot give tickets to 4000 so some people may get upset as of now but later I believe they will keep serving the Congress party," Nath said.
Several Congress leaders have left the party across the state after not getting a ticket to contest the upcoming assembly election and some vows to teach a lesson to the party.
Earlier on Sunday, Congress released the first list of 144 candidates for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, fielding state unit president and former Chief Minister Kamal Nath from Chhindwara.
