In a post on X, Shah underscored their significant role in advancing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resolve to build a "disaster-resilient India" and described them as "the pillar of trust, the nation relies on during calamities."
Danish Ali questioned the exclusivity of Bhagwat's remarks, asking, "Do saints belong to only one community, or should saints of all communities be respected?"
Congress MP Jairam Ramesh on Sunday took a jibe at the Centre, citing the World Bank's report, which expresses concern over air pollution in the Indo-Gangetic Plains and Himalayan foothills.
