The Indian Army marked the 10th International Yoga Day on Friday by organising yoga sessions across states like Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, and Manipur. Over 5,446 participants took part in the sessions across these states.
More than 1,200 specially abled people from about 30 non-government organisations from the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad and other parts of Telangana participated and performed yoga asanas on World Yoga Day.
MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasised India's stance, stating, "We naturally oppose any moves giving political space to extremism and those advocating violence."
At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina arrived in India today to pay a State visit from June 21 to 22.
