Amid flood-like situation in Tamil Nadu's Chennai due to heavy rainfall caused due to Cyclone Michaung, more than 700 people were shifted to safer locations by the flood relief teams of Indian Navy.
The Defence Minister also met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin to assess the flood situation in the state. The meeting was attended by the National Disaster Management Authority, Police, Navy and other authorities.
