The Pakistan federal government has urged the country's Supreme Court to take notice of the ongoing crisis in Punjab. The Pakistan Muslim League (N)-led government has said that the Lahore High Court's decision is not as per legal parameters, Geo News reported.
Attacking the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Centre, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said Hindu-Muslim is being done to divert attention from the real issues.
"The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly was not dissolved due to the new developments in Punjab. Both the assemblies were supposed to be dissolved simultaneously but it didn't happen due to the new political situation in Punjab," Khan said.
