According to the police, various investigation teams were formed to investigate the crime and a case has been registered under sections 311, 312, 331 (4), 331 (4), 331 (6), 331(7) of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
"There is primary evidence to anticipate that the accused is a Bangladeshi. He does not have valid Indian documents. There are some seizures that indicate that he is a Bangladeshi national," Dixit Gedam, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 9, said in a presser.
Earlier in the day, the Raipur Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Durg, Chhattisgarh, nabbed a suspect in the case while he was travelling on the Jnaneswari Express train.
