An era of former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan came to an end on Wednesday as BJP MLA Mohan Yadav took oath as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to be held at Motilal Nehru Stadium, Lal Parade ground in the state capital Bhopal on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda and others will be present at the ceremony.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has left for attending the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Ministers designated for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, Mohan Yadav and Vishnu Deo Sai scheduled for today.
Ahead of his swearing-in-ceremony, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister-designate Mohan Yadav on Wednesday said that the state would follow the footsteps just in the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi is leading the country.
Yadav will take his oath as the Chief Minister at a ceremony at Lal Parade Ground in the state capital, while Sai will take his oath at Science College Ground in Raipur at 2 pm.
"I congratulate my friend Bhajanlal, who has been elected as the CM there. I wish for him to be the most successful CM of Rajasthan," said Mohan Yadav, who was also the party's surprise pick for Chief Minister in Madhya Pradesh just like Bhajanlal in Rajasthan.

The BJP on Sunday picked Vishnu Deo Sai, a prominent tribal leader, as the next chief minister of Chhattisgarh. On the other hand, Mohan Yadav was announced as the next chief minister of Madhya Pradesh.
Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday said that he would rather die than go and ask something for himself adding that Madhya Pradesh will achieve new heights under the CM-designate of the state Mohan Yadav.
