Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday chaired a meeting at Lok Bhawan to discuss implementation of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (GJAY) schemes.
Attending the 61st annual function of Anandpur college, his alma matter, the CM also inaugurated 16 projects worth Rs 42 crore and laid the foundation stones for several other projects at an estimated cost of Rs 118 crore
Asserting that the Odisha government is working to empower women, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday said that the government has released the 2nd instalment under the flagship programme Subhadra Yojana.
Odisha Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Women and Child Development Pravati Parida asserted that more than 98 lakh women received benefits from the Subhadra Scheme, and further assistance will be given on March 6 and International Women's Day on March 8.
Meanwhile, devotees broke their fasts after Mahadeepa was lifted atop Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday night, on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi, after visiting Ayodhya and having darshan of Ramlalla ji, expressed gratitude and prays for the prosperity of Odisha. He pledges to work towards making Odisha a prosperous and progressive state.
After offering prayers at the temple, while speaking to ANI, CM Majhi expressed his gratitude and said, "I had the fortune of visiting here today... By God's grace and the efforts of PM Modi, the progress of the nation is going upward."
On this occasion, Majhi spoke to ANI about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Viksit Bharat' mission and highlighted that he prayed to Lord Hanuman for the progress of Odisha, stating that the state would serve as a driving force for the development of the country.
