Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders including Suresh Pujari, Rabinarayan Naik, Nityananda Gond, and Krushna Chandra Patra took oath as ministers under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi-led cabinet in Odisha in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Odisha's Chief Minister-designate Mohan Charan Majhi scheduled to take place at 5 pm at Janata Maidan.
Odisha Chief Minister-designate and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Mohan Charan Majhi met the outgoing CM Naveen Patnaik, who held the position for over two decades, and invited him to attend the oath ceremony later in the day.
Ahead of getting sworn in as the BJP's first Chief Minister in Odisha, CM-designate Mohan Charan Majhi said that protecting Odisha's 'Asmita' (pride) will be the government's priority once the oath-taking ceremony is done.
As many of the BJP ruled states are following the two Deputy Chief Minister formula, Odisha Deputy CM-designate Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo praised the formula and said it's not new and said it will help in focusing and also increases the productivity.
"I will work according to PM Modi's vision to develop Odisha. I will work to take the state forward and develop the state in the next five years and will ensure justice to the people," Majhi told ANI.
