A Delhi Court on Tuesday extended the police custody of Aaftab Poonawala to four more days of police custody in connection with the murder of his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar.
Aaftab Poonawala, accused of killing his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar in May this year, disposed of the blade and saw used in the murder of his girlfriend in the bushes of DLF Phase 3 in Gurugram, informed Delhi Police sources on Tuesday.
Officials of Delhi Police on Sunday continued the probe in the dense forest area of South Delhi's Mehrauli with an aim to recover the dismembered body parts of Shraddha Walkar, believed to be disposed of by her murderer Aaftab Amin Poonawala across the national capital.
Godwin claimed that he registered the offence in writing in the presence of Shraddha in 2020, adding that she later withdrew the complaint saying it was a 'private matter'.
"DCW has taken suo~moto cognizance of the gruesome murder of a girl in Mehrauli, Delhi. It has been reported that the girl was living in a flat with her male partner," reads the letter.
