The Delhi High court on Friday pulled up the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) over demolition in South Delhi's Mehrauli despite a stay order till the next date of hearing.
Officials said that the accused, identified as Vikram Jeet Singh, a resident of Mehrauli, has been arrested by Vasant Vihar Police station.
He was produced before the court and sent to Judicial custody on Friday. "The role of other persons is being verified," they said.
Aaftab Amin Poonawalla is accused of strangling his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar in May 2022 in the Mehrauli area. After the alleged strangulation, he allegedly chopped Shraddha's body into 35 pieces.
