The Punjab Police has launched a statewide investigation into complaints of unauthorised camps allegedly collecting personal data of citizens under the pretext of enrolling them in government schemes. Inquiry teams have been constituted across all districts to probe the matter.
In the matter of the attack on Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday, a case has been registered u/s 109(1) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Civil Lines police station. The accused has been taken into police custody.
