West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday slammed the decision of the Railway Board to hand over the inquiry to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the Odisha train accident saying that "it is not the time to suppress the truth".

"Odisha train accident is a heartbreaking incident and no one should do politics on such incidents. This is the time to stand with the family of the victims who lost their dear ones," said Anurag Thakur while addressing a press conference in Thane.
"It has nothing to do with Kavach. The reason is not what Mamata Banerjee said yesterday. This incident happened due to a change in electronic interlocking," the Railway Minister told ANI.
