"They (BJP) don't have a comfortable majority. INDIA bloc will wait for the appropriate time," Kunhalikutty told reporters after the INDIA bloc meeting held at Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge's residence in Delhi on Wednesday evening.
After the INDIA bloc meeting concluded on Wednesday, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge thanked the people for supporting them and said that the bloc would continue to fight against the fascist rule of the BJP led by PM Modi.
Congress workers were heard raising slogans in support of party leader Rahul Gandhi outside the residence of Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in Delhi.
The Congress party thanked the people of India after the party improved its tally from the last elections and the INDIA bloc crossed the 230 mark in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
This comes after the BJP failed to cross the majority mark on its own. According to the Election Commission of India, BJP is currently ahead on 239 seats. But, the overall tally of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is close to 300.

Congress leader and candidate from Rajgarh Lok Sabha seat Digvijaya Singh congratulated Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for the election results and asserted that BJP will not secure majority which will result in infighting within the party.
A day ahead of the counting of votes in the Lok Sabha elections, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, in an open letter on Monday, appealed to all members of the Indian bureaucracy to perform their duties without "fear, favour, or ill-will against anybody."
