The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a third summons to Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra in connection with irregularities in a foreign exchange contravention case, asking her to join the probe on March 28.
The Lokpal on March 15 had asked the CBI to probe the allegations under Section 20(3)(a) and submit a report within six months. The CBI had also been asked to file periodical reports regarding the status of the investigation every month.
"The ethics committee has already suggested a CBI raid, and that is why it is happening, it is their duty. Whatever they are doing is perfect," Majumdar said, speaking to ANI on Saturday.
