Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi following his three-day visit to the United States, stating that the visit once again demonstrated why the PM is a distinguished global statesman and a trendsetter of exceptional merit.
At the Juhu Beach cleanup event, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde emphasised the importance of environmental campaigns and criticised the opposition's past allegations against the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
"They (the Congress-NC alliance) talk about bringing back Article 370. Do they want to bring back the terror sponsored by Pakistan? Do they want 26/11 to be repeated?" Shinde asked while speaking to reporters in Nagpur.

Maharashtra Chief Minister on Tuesday said that 12 lakh people participated in Ganesh Visarjan at Girgaon Chowpatty in Mumbai on the occasion of Ananta Chaturdashi, last day of the ten-day-long Ganesh Chaturthi.
Shinde further said that many welfare initiatives for the poor, farmers and women were made in the last 10 years, which could not be done under the previous rule or in 50-60 years.
