After Bharatiya Janata Party's Rahul Narwekar was elected unopposed as the Speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Monday said that Rahul Narwekar did "partisan politics" in the last 2.5 years.
Notably, the MVA alliance partners have been raising questions about the legitimacy of EVMs after facing a setback in the Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024.
"Whatever is being said about EVMs (by the opposition), I'll say that such statements against the functioning of constitutional institutions create doubt about parliamentary democracy," Narwekar said.
