Leaders of the ruling National Democratic Alliance and the Opposition Mahagathbandhan continued their talks on Thursday to finalise their seat-sharing arrangement for the upcoming Bihar Assembly election.
Congress MLA Shakeel Ahmad on Thursday supported Bihar Leader of the Oppositon Tejashwi Yadav's announcement to pass a law ensuring government jobs for Bihar households if his grand alliance emerges victorious in the state assembly polls.
Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) President Chirag Paswan met Minister of State for Home Affairs and BJP leader Nityanand Rai in Delhi on Thursday to discuss seat-sharing arrangements for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
He asserted that the Mahagathbandhan government aims to achieve economic justice alongside social justice, noting that within 20 months, no family in Bihar will be without a government job.
The RJD leader stated that his party has conducted a survey related to the issue, emphasising that it is not a case of "jumlebaazi" (making fake promises). Yadav emphasised that he doesn't need to give proof to fulfil his promise.
Congress leader Tariq Anwar on Thursday said that the seat-sharing arrangement within the opposition's Mahagathbandhan for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections will be finalised soon.
National President of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) Mukesh Sahni on Wednesday said that everything is fine in Mahagathbandhan. With the Bihar Assembly election around the corner, the VIP President added that the Mahagathbandhan government will be formed in Bihar.
Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Wednesday expressed his optimism about the upcoming Bihar elections and announced that the seat-sharing details within the Mahagathbandhan would be revealed soon.
Speaking to ANI on Tuesday, Sahni said, "Everything on seat sharing has been finalised internally. Perhaps tomorrow evening we will hold a press conference and give information."
Trivedi also took a jibe at Tejashwi Yadav for projecting himself as the Chief Ministerial candidate of the Mahagathbandhan, pointing out that while Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi has been portrayed as the future PM by Tejashwi. Still, he was never officially declared the face of the alliance
Soon after Election Commission announced the schedule for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav Tejashwi Yadav on Monday said "every Bihari will be the CM that is change maker."
