DMK leader TKS Elangovan on Monday spoke about the water crisis in Tamil Nadu and said that the Cauvery water dispute is not just between two parties but is an issue between two states--Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and said that they aim to make sure that no low-lying area is devoid of water.
Villagers in the hardest-hit low-lying areas of Sylhet could be seen wading through chest-deep water and heaping their belongings into piles to protect them from the muddy waters.
Agartala, West Tripura District Magistrate and Collector, Vishal Kumar on Saturday said that NDRF and other teams are ready given the warning and is preparing to evacuate people from low-lying areas to safe shelters and start providing relief if needed.

In an ongoing rescue operation, the National Disaster Response Force(NDRF) on Monday evacuated 110 people from the village of Lakheswari in the Aravalli district of Gujarat where heavy rain caused flooding in the low-lying areas, said officials.
The incessant downpour began over the weekend, saturating the region and overwhelming the drainage systems. As a result, numerous low-lying areas across Mathura have been inundated, making travel and daily activities extremely challenging for locals.
