The incident took place in Jhitarkhedi village under Ghatiya police station limits in the district on Friday afternoon. Locals allegedly pelted stones at police vehicles and earth moving machines deployed in the area damaging their windshields.
As soon as the labourers found the pot, a large number of nearby people thronged to the spot to take a glimpse of that ancient coin and jewellery. After which the labourers and the villagers informed about the matter to the local police station.
District Administration and Revenue department officials have rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the information of the incident from locals of the area.
