Three labourers have been rescued while a search for four people is underway after a house collapsed in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district, according to the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).

Due to incessant rains in the region, all educational institutions will remain closed in the district on August 16, informed the Kangra district administration on Tuesday.
A holiday has been declared on August 16 and 17 in Mandi district for all private and government educational institutions, vocational training centers and Anganwadi centers.
