The Rouse Avenue court on Saturday issued summons to former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, Misa Bharti, Hema Yadav, Hridyanand Chaudhary and other accused in the Land for Job money laundering case.
The Rouse Avenue court on Tuesday after hearing the initial submissions by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), adjourned the hearing on the chargesheet against Amit Katyal, Rabri Devi and others accused in the Land for job money laundering case.
Bihar BJP President Samrat Chaudhary hit out at the former Chief Minister of Bihar Lalu Prasad Yadav over the land for jobs case and said that he was a symbol of corruption.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sought time to file a reply on the applications of Lalu Prasad Yadav and others seeking a supply of documents in the alleged land-for-jobs case.
"I have been going since always; it's a routine. I went earlier as well. From 2017 to 2023, I have been going regularly whenever ED, Income Tax or CBI called me. What would these agencies do? They are also pressurised," Yadav told reporters.
The Rouse Avenue court on Wednesday sought a reply from CBI on application moved by accused persons including Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi and Tejaswi Yadav, seeking supply of documents filed along with the charge sheet.
Counsel for the accused persons submitted that they had inspected half of the documents. There is a mismatch of page number in the E-Copy and hard copy of the charge sheet. For this reason, they need 15 days more time for inspection.
