BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Arun Singh said on Friday that the double-engine government under Prime Minister Modi and Nitish Kumar is set to return to power in Bihar.
The NDA is leading in Bihar, with Nitish Kumar and PM Modi's popularity driving the surge. They're poised to break the 2010 record, when the NDA won 206 seats.
"On one side there is Bihar's zindabad, another side is Tejashwi's Sahabuddin zindabad, so Bihar has decided. That was not just a slogan, Tejashwi Yadav had said that they did jungle raj, and they will continue to do jungle raj, he said 'Sahabuddin amar rahenge'," Tiwari told ANI here.
As the counting of votes progressed across all districts of Bihar, the NDA registered a clear and steady lead, moving towards a landslide victory under the partnership between PM Modi and Nitish Kumar.
As NDA continues its comfortable lead and crosses the majority mark of 122, BJP MP Deepak Prakash hailed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying "Tiger abhi zinda hai (Tiger who still has the power)."
He stated that the state is "going to write a new chapter in its history" by trusting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and rejecting the "dirty politics" of Opposition parties.
The JD(U) workers exchanged sweets among each other and cherished the moment. Party leader Chotu Singh congratulated CM Nitish Kumar, stating that they are celebrating Holi and Diwali at the party office.
