Patna (Bihar) [India], November 14 (ANI): As NDA continues its comfortable lead and crosses the majority mark of 122, BJP MP Deepak Prakash hailed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying "Tiger abhi zinda hai (Tiger who still has the power)."
Early leads indicate a strong and commanding lead for the NDA, signalling what could be one of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's most decisive electoral victories.
The Nitish Kumar-led NDA is leading on a combined total of 189 seats, with BJP leading in 87, JDU in 77, LJP(RV) 20, HAM(S) 4 and RLM 4 as per data from the EC at noon.
Deepak Prakash called the landslide a lead people's trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nitish Kumar.
He told ANI, "This is a victory of the public of Bihar. It is clear that a double-engine government is going to be formed here. Congratulations to the voters here. People trust PM Modi and Nitish Kumar. BJP-NDA workers have worked hard, and the speed of development will further pick up pace. The results have proven that 'Tiger abhi zinda hai' and he will work even better now."
Earlier, a poster dedicated to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with the title of a 'Tiger who still has the power (Tiger Abhi Zinda Hai)' was seen outside the CM's residence at 1 Anne Marg in Patna.
Further slamming RJD leader Sunil Kumar Singh's statement, Prakash said, "Such a statement is very unfortunate. Strict action should be taken, and he should be jailed."
Sunil Singh had issued a strong warning to election officials, cautioning against any attempt to manipulate the people's mandate, otherwise "the same scenes witnessed on the roads in Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka will be seen on the roads of Bihar as well".
Singh claimed that in the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, "many RJD candidates were forcibly defeated," and urged vigilance to ensure such incidents do not repeat.
The trends suggest that the renewed JD(U)-BJP partnership, backed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's nationwide popularity, is steering the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) toward a sweeping mandate of over 243-seat Assembly.
RJD leads in 34 seats, Congress leads in 6, CPI(ML) leads in 7, while CPI-M leads in 1 seat, taking the total to 51, as per data from the EC at noon. Additionally, the BSP leads in one seat, and the AIMIM in three seats. (ANI)
