B Sriramulu, an ex-BJP minister, on Monday met Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar setting the rumours of his joining the ruling Congress government in the state.
Reacting to the drought study tour of Bharatiya Janata Party and Janata Dal (Secular) leaders, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has said that the government has already conducted the survey and sent the report to the centre.

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Monday speaking on the Cauvery water row, said, "We are protecting the interest of Karnataka's farmers".
Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Tuesday claimed that the Siddaramaiah-led Karnataka government has implemented all the promises made in the Congress guarantee card before the election and said, “Our government has done as promised”.
Calling the scientists ‘pride of the country’, Shivakumar said that the efforts of all the ISRO scientists and staff who worked hard for the project are unforgettable.
"Karnataka government is calling an all-party meeting on water disputes related to Cauvery...it is on Wednesday (23rd August). I have called some senior Parliament members to be part of the meeting...to seek the solution we have called this meeting," said Karnataka Dy CM DK Shivakumar.
