Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi on Tuesday expressed deep concern over the alleged 'politicisation' of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, warning that such actions pose a risk to national security.
Earlier, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) dismissed Tamil Nadu Forest Minister K Ponmudy from the position of Deputy General Secretary in the party, following his reported controversial remarks on Hinduism and women.
"Minister Ponmudy's recent speech is unacceptable. Regardless of the reason for the speech, such vulgar remarks are condemnable," DMK's Deputy General Secretary said in a post on X.

Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, MDMK MP Vaiko, DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi and many senior leaders paid their respects Senior Congress leader Kumari Ananthan who passed away at 93 due to age-related illness.
Taking to social media X, the DMK MP in a post wrote that Ananthan had a great influence on the politics of Tamil Nadu and had a strong devotion to Mahatma Gandhi.
"It is very sad that a bill against the minorities of this country was passed, and after that, it is such a burning issue...they took half an hour to discuss Manipur," Kanimozhi told ANI.
After the Lok Sabha adopted a statutory resolution confirming the imposition of President's Rule in Manipur, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Thursday hoped that peace and normalcy will be restored in the state.
Reacting to CM Yogi's remarks, the DMK MP said, "Biggest joke in the world, when somebody from BJP, especially UP CM is talking about divisive politics. Like our Chief Minister has called political black comedy."
