Students of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes have been ordered to be expelled from the hostel due to their protest against the poor quality of food being served in the hostel in Ballari in Karnataka.

"Meeting BJP leaders doesn't really mean I'm going to join BJP. The bigger the leader of our party, the more he is in contact with BJP leaders," Kushwaha said while speaking to reporters.
Amid the speculation of Kushwaha's chances of joining the BJP, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday made a politically disapproving comment saying that Kushwaha had left the JDU thrice before eventually returning to it.
