A special National Investigation Court here in Jammu passed an order directing Jammu and Kashmir police to affix a GPS tracker to track the movement of a terror accused on bail a police statement said.
One person, accused of impersonating as an IAS officer and duping a local resident of Budgam of over Rs 6 lakh, has been arrested, police said on Thursday.
The focus was laid on narcotic drug and psychotropic substance (NDPS) cases, bovine smuggling cases, crimes against property and Crime Against Person, and inquest proceedings. The participants were briefed to concentrate on NDPS cases with special reference to find out, source, carrier, and
"Police intercepted the vehicle at Jakhani Check Naka and during the search, 240 Kg of Poppy Straw was recovered," said Sham Singh Naib, Tehsildar, Udhampur.
In a joint operation, the Jammu and Kashmir police and the Indian Army busted a terrorist hideout in the Doda district, said an official statement on Wednesday.
Jammu and Kashmir Police alongwith security forces on Wednesday arrested a terrorist associate linked with the proscribed terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT)/ TRF and recovered incriminating materials, arms and ammunition from his possession in Baramulla.
