Two persons died on the spot and five others were injured after a granite-carrying vehicle overturned on the Kodad National Highway in Mudigonda of Khammam district on Friday.
According to authorities, the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted beside the road. The labourers were mostly from Swat and Shangla districts and were on their way to work when the blast occurred.
The incident took place in the Pohri area in the district on Wednesday, in which the victim sustained multiple injuries on her body along with severely injured eyes.
"Five were injured after the state transport bus collided with a tree under the Krishnarajpete rural police station area. All the injured were shifted to the hospital for treatment," according to the Superintendent of Police of Mandya.
