The budget airline carrier IndiGo on Wednesday cancelled its flight operations in 11 cities across north, northwestern and central India till May 10, following aviation authorities directives regarding airport closures in wake of the Indian Armed Forces' 'Operation Sindoor' in retaliation
According to the Mumbai police, the threat was made last night via a phone call to Sahar airport's hotline, warning that a bomb had been placed on the aircraft.
Taking to social media X, Indigo in a post on X stated that flights to and from Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh and Dharamshala would be impacted.
"We are aware of an incident on flight 6E 6404 from Delhi to Shirdi on May 2, where a customer behaved inappropriately towards cabin crew. Our crew followed standard procedures, and the customer was declared unruly," IndiGo stated.
IndiGo Airlines on Friday issued a travel advisory for commuters and offered them rescheduling and refunds after Pakistan closed its airspace for Indian flights.
