The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast more rain and snow during the next 24 hours in the state after the higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh experienced snowfall while the plains received scattered rains on Monday.
According to Umashankar Das, senior scientist of IMD, Bhubaneshwar, under the cyclonic circulation's influence, Odisha triggered widespread heavy to very heavy rainfall (7-20 cm) for the next 24 hours.
