President Droupadi Murmu held a "tete-a-tete" meeting with Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jagnauth on Monday to discuss ways to further strengthen India-Mauritius bilateral relations. President Murmu also presented a RuPay card to Mauritius PM as a special gesture.
He stressed that today's inauguration of the airstrip and jetty at Agalega will further advance cooperation between the two countries while also strengthening the blue economy of Mauritius.
Praising the leadership of Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Pravind Jugnauth, the Foreign Minister of Mauritius, Maneesh Gobin, said that the relationship is super special and more strategic than ever before.

Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth on Friday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission and looked forward to further cooperation between the two sides in the space sector, the Ministry of the External Affairs said in an official release.
Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra on Thursday paid a courtesy call to Foreign Minister of Mauritius Alan Ganoo as both sides discussed bilateral ties between the two countries.
Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri met his Mauritian counterpart Louis Steven Obeegadoo and vowed to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
