Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday accused the Congress and its allies in INDIA bloc of trying to reduce reservation for SCs,STs and OBCs and "give it to Muslims".

A day after the first phase of polling, BJP MP Anurag Thakur attacked the ruling INDIA bloc in Jharkhand and said Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has promised gas cylinders to the "illegal immigrants".
The first phase of Jharkhand's assembly elections, which kickstarted on Wednesday, recorded 64.86 per cent voter turnout at 5 pm across the 43 assembly constituencies, surpassing 63.9 per cent voting in the 2019 assembly elections, said the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Meanwhile, a voter turnout of 13.04 per cent was recorded till 9 am in the first phase of the Jharkhand Assembly Elections, as per the Election Commission of India.
The polling for Jharkhand's first phase began at around 7:00 am, with voters across 43 constituencies in 15 districts casting their ballots. The results will determine the fate of 683 candidates, including 73 women.
