Dumri (Jharkhand) [India], November 14 (ANI): A day after the first phase of polling, Union Home Minister Amit Shah alleged on Thursday that Rs 350 crore was recovered in the Enforcement Directorate raids from the home of a Congress MP which Prime Minister Narendra Modi had sent for the daughters and youth of Jharkhand.
Addressing a poll rally here, Home Minister Amit Shah said, "...They (Congress) gave only Rs 84,000 crores to Jharkhand in 10 years, whereas PM Modi has given 3,90,000 crore in 10 years... In ED raids, Rs 350 crore was found from the residence of Congress MP - it's the money that PM Modi has sent for the daughters and youth of Jharkhand..."
The Home Minister accused the incumbent government of being steeped in corruption.
"The money sent by Modi Ji for the daughters and youth of Jharkhand was eaten up by the governments of JMM, Congress and RJD. So much money came out from the houses of their leaders that the machines stopped working, but the bundles of notes did not end. All those who have embezzled the money meant for Jharkhand will be selected and sent behind prison bars," Amit Shah said.
"Hemant Soren had promised the youth during the elections that 'we will give you unemployment allowance', but Hemant Soren did not fulfill his promise. We will give unemployment allowance of Rs 2,000 per month to every youth. 2 lakh 87 thousand vacant posts will be filled in a transparent manner. Neither bribe will have to be given for a job nor will you have to write a letter," he added.
The senior BJP leader also addressed a rally earlier on Thursday in Giridih, Jharkhand, where he attacked the Jharkhand government headed by Hemant Soren.
"Hemant Soren government has not allowed to implement schemes of PM Modi as it is mired in corruption. We will ensure industries in Jharkhand so that the labourers do not have to go to other states for work. Hemant Soren is not bothered to build industries in Jharkhand or create electricity. There are mines of aluminium and iron ore but Hemant Soren is not bothered that they are manufactured here. He is only concerned about allowing the infiltrators to enter Jharkhand."
He further alleged that these infiltrators marry innocent locals and encroach on their lands.
"These infiltrators enter Jharkhand and marry innocent local girls for the second time, third time, and encroach on their lands. These infiltrators who have encroached on the lands of innocent tribal women would be thrown out of the state. We will bring a law that these encroached lands would have to be returned back to tribals," he further said.
Elections on the remaining 38 seats will be conducted on November 20. The counting of the votes will take place on November 23. (ANI)
