After the Income Tax authorities unearthed Rs 42 crore from a residence linked to a former corporator in Bengaluru, BJP national President JP Nadda on Monday said that corruption is in the DNA of Congress adding that Congress and corruption are two sides of the same coin.
Nearly Rs 1500 crore was collected from builders, gold merchants, and contractors in an attempt to spend the money and win in Telangana, said Harish Rao.
Officials from the Income tax department have been conducting searches at four places belonging to Santiago Martin at Vellakinar Pirivu and Gandhipuram in Coimbatore city since Thursday morning.

The searches, which began this morning are being carried out at multiple locations, including the upscale Jubilee Hills area, as well as the legislator's residences and offices situated in Kukatpally, Gachibowli, and other areas in the city.
Raids are being conducted at around 10 places in Chennai, including raids at India Private Limited and Radha Engineering Works Private Limited, sources said.
After the Income Tax raids on his residence as part of its tax evasion probe, Samajwadi party leader Azam Khan wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday and asked to establish love and affection in the country.
The department on Wednesday conducted searches at over 30 locations in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh as part of its tax evasion probe against Khan and people associated with him.
