"The attack was pre-planned. 70 people were arrested on the day of the incident, out of which 61 were granted bail by court and nine were sent to remand. Six cases were registered against 100 people, " Police Commissioner Srikanth told ANI.
"Locks of five houses were broken, including a constable's quarter. The constable, Lakshman Singh who is posted as a gunman of Sailana MLA Harsh Vijay Gehlot, reported in the FIR that his service pistol has been stolen in the incident," CSP Anand said.
Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA), Punjab Union of Journalists, and Karachi Union of Journalists expressed their condolences calling the incident a "loss for the journalist fraternity" of the country, reported Dawn on Tuesday.
