The monsoon is delayed by nearly a week in Himachal Pradesh. According to the Indian Metrological Department, the monsoon is expected to approach by the end of the month nearing June 28, a few days later than the normal date, which is June 22.
The MeT office also stated there is a possibility of strong wind with a speed of 60 to 70 kilometres per hour at some places in southern and south-eastern Madhya Pradesh.

Amidst prevalent heatwave conditions in the national capital, Lok Nayak Hospital has reported that nine patients were admitted on Wednesday due to heatstroke.
Motorists, and other road users, had to temporarily seek shelter on the sides of the Tiruchi-Dindigul Highway and resumed driving only after the rain subsided.
"A total of 22 patients have been admitted to the hospital and five have lost their lives due to suspected heatstroke. 12 patients are on ventilators and in critical situation. The majority of patients are labourers who work in extreme conditions," the hospital official said.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that heatwave to severe heatwave conditions are likely to continue over many parts of North India during the next 24 hours and gradually abate thereafter due to an approaching western disturbance towards northwest India.
