India Metrological Department said on Friday that monsoon is expected to make onset in Kerala on June 4 and that Monsoon will most likely be normal this year.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a heavy rainfall alert for Himachal Pradesh, North Haryana, North East Rajasthan, Kerala and Mahe for the day as a result of the Western Disturbance.
IMD scientist Kuldeep Srivastava, while talking to ANI said that there is a western disturbance effect in Jammu and Kashmir that is predicted to come to the plains of North East India region and North East Rajasthan.
IMD Scientist Kuldeep Srivastava told ANI that the temperature is expected to fall in the coming days pertaining to the light drizzle and strong winds.
"We have issued a heatwave alert for today for south Haryana, Delhi, south UP, north MP, Jharkhand, Bihar and Bengal. Tomorrow, a heatwave alert is not given for any place other than Jharkhand," said Soma Sen Roy while talking to ANI.
The temperature in South West Delhi's Najafgarh touched 46 degrees Celsius on Sunday, the season's highest maximum temperature, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
