Calling it a "golden moment for Assam's tea culture," Assam BJP President Dilip Saikia highlighted the significance of PM Modi's presence in promoting the rich heritage of these communities on a global stage.
He accused the BJP IT cell of propagating "rumours" and said that Congress would bring the truth to the people of Assam by exposing the corruption of the state government.

But why is Assam showcasing this folk dance to the world? The mega Jhumoir event is part of a larger celebration, which includes the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit.
The Assam Cabinet has accorded the green light to investment proposals worth Rs 1.22 lakh crore ahead of the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit, scheduled to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday in the state's capital city Guwahati.
The Prime Minister will witness the mega Jhumoir performance at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati on the evening of February 24, along with the Head of Mission and Ambassadors of 60 countries. Around 8,600 artists from 800 tea gardens of the state will perform the Jhumoir dance.
