Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday said the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) was the key to the party winning the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections.
The supporters of Pratibha Singh gathered outside the Congress Shimla headquarters in huge numbers and demanded her appointment as the Chief Minister of the state.
Amid the debate surrounding the chief minister for Himachal Pradesh, the Congress on Friday held a meeting with the party's observer Bhupesh Baghel, state in-charge Rajeev Shukla, probable CM Pratibha Singh, and all the elected MLAs, at its Shimla headquarters.
"We believe in the Party High Command just like the people of the state believed in us. The people have broken the notion of one-party rule in the country," said Mukesh Agnihotri.
Congress chief of Himachal Pradesh Pratibha Singh informed that they will be holding a meeting to decide upon the name of the Chief Minister of the hill state in the evening.
Congress returned to power in Himachal Pradesh after five years in the results announced on Thursday. The Congress won 40 seats in the 68-member assembly riding on anti-incumbency.
