According to Punjab Police, at around 4 am, a joint patrolling party of the Border Security Force (BSF) and Amritsar Police heard the humming sound of a drone and shot it down at the Lopoke area in Kakkar village, and seized 5 kg of heroin.
Based on intelligence input, Assam Rifles (East) in collaboration with local police conducted a search operation in Talangsam village of Champhai district on Friday.
The operation was carried out by a combined team of Assam Rifles and Excise and Narcotics Department, Champhai based on specific information under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East).
