Assam Rifles, in a joint operation with Jiribam Police, apprehended two individuals with 30 soap cases of heroin worth Rs 3.5 crore from Manipur's Jiribam district, an official said.
Border Security Force troops in collaboration with Punjab Police apprehended three smugglers Tuesday and later on recovered two packets of suspected heroin weighing 500 grams each in Fazilka district, said BSF in a statement.
In a joint operation, Assam Rifles along with Mizoram Police recovered 61 grams of heroin from Champhai district and also apprehended a Myanmar national.

The BSF recovered a drone carrying three packets of suspected heroin in the border area of Ferozepur district on Saturday, the BSF said in a press release.
"On April 20, 2024, the BSF intelligence wing received information regarding the presence of a narcotics consignment in the border area of district Fazilka. Acting swiftly, BSF troops carried out an extensive search operation in the suspected area," said the release.
The Border Security Force recovered a drone carrying a packet of suspected heroin in border area of Amritsar district on Friday, informed a press release.
The operation that took place on Monday was carried out by a combined team of Assam Rifles and Special Narcotics Police Station, CID (Crime), Aizawl based on specific information, police said.
Assam Rifles, along with the Special Narcotics Police Station, CID (crime), Aizawl recovered 27 soap cases (325.3 gm) of heroin worth Rs 2,27,65,000 in three different operations in Aizawl.

In yet another success in its crusade against smuggling, Assam Rifles conducted two separate operations in Aizawl and Hnahlan cities in Mizoram and recovered heroin worth Rs 11 crore. The team also apprehended two Myanmar nationals, officials said on Friday.
In a post shared on the social media platform X, Gaurav Yadav, Director General of Police, Punjab, said that the police have also recovered 3 kilogrammes of heroin as well as two pistols.
