A massive sinkhole, resembling a crater created by a meteor strike, was formed when a portion of a road caved in during heavy rainfall at Shela in Ahmedabad Smart City.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for several northeastern states, forecasting extremely heavy rainfall over the next two days.
