As the BJP is on the verge of forming a consecutive third-term government in Haryana, former Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that the assembly results are "surprising" for them.

The Election Commission on Tuesday termed as "ill-founded" Congress allegation of slowdown in updating results of assembly polls in Haryana and said it rejects the attempt "to surreptitiously give credence to irresponsible, unfounded and uncorroborated malafide narratives".
"People have silently slapped Congress. Congress tried to spread their fake narrative in Haryana as well but the people have given their message to Congress and opposition parties," Shinde said.

Expressing optimism over the party's victory in the Haryana Assembly elections, Congress leader Amin Patel said that the situation will change in Haryana and that Congress will win more than 45 seats in the state.
Former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda won by a margin of 71,465 votes from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi constituency on Tuesday.
As the Bhartiya Janata party leads in Haryana according to the latest trends by the Election Commission, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari on Tuesday said that he could see the blueprint of the results while campaigning in the state.
"BJP will win for sure. Till now, the news we have received is enthusiastic. This is the result of hard work that PM Modi has done in the last 10 years for all the sections of society," Sonowal told reporters.
As per the latest ECI trends at 2.00 PM, BJP is leading in 48 seats, followed by Congress leading in 37 seats. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) were seen to be leading with one seat each while Independents and smaller parties were leading in three seats.
Congress candidate Vinesh Phogat emerged victorious in the Haryana Assembly Elections from Julana Constituency Assembly as she defeated the Bharitye Janta Party (BJP) candidate Yogesh Kumar.
