Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday held a video conference meeting with the District and Co-District Commissioners at Janata Bhawan in Guwahati.
He stressed the necessity of continued central support, particularly in addressing the welfare of approximately 41,000 displaced people from Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Manipur, who require food, shelter, and education.
CM Sarma highlighted the significance of these reforms, emphasising their role in strengthening the criminal justice system while ensuring the protection of marginalized communities. He also acknowledged Shah's dedication to the state, particularly his engagement with the Bodo community.<
