Following the killing of two Village Defence Guards in the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir, the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders condemned the attack and said that the government will be taking strict action against the militants.
Tensions persisted in Jammu and Kashmir following the killing of two Village Defence Guards (VDG) in Kishtwar, with the people in the region protesting and demanding on Friday that the government take strict action to crush the militancy in the state.

Bharatiya Janata Party leader (BJP) Kavinder Gupta attacked the ruling National Conference- Congress government and said that the terror attacks in the state had increased after two village defence guards were killed in an attack in Kishtwar.
The LG paid homage to the two deceased Nazir Ahmad and Kuldeep Kumar who were killed in the attack and reiterated the Government's resolve to destroy terror outfits and avenge the barbaric act.
"JKNC President Dr Farooq Abdullah and VP & Chief Minister @OmarAbdullah have condemned the gruesome killing of two village defence guards in Kishtwar namely Nazir Ahmad and Kuldeep Kumar, in a forest area," JKNC said in a post on X.
