In further action into the rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) attack at Sarhali police station in Tarn Taran district, Bomb Disposal Squad on Wednesday neutralised a live rocket-propelled grenade which was recovered from three persons who were arrested on Tuesday.
Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav identified the arrested persons as Kulbir Singh, Hira Singh, and Davinder Singh, all residents of village Chambal in Tarn Taran. The Police have also booked accused Yadwinder Singh, he added.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Brij Lal gave Zero Hour notice in the Upper House of Parliament to discuss the Rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) attack in Punjab.
According to police officials, the attackers threw hand grenades and rockets toward the police station in a fierce exchange between the police and the terrorists.
