A statement from IndiGo said, "Flight 6E2518 from Mumbai to Delhi departed late due to a delay in the arrival of incoming aircraft because of bad weather. The subsequent processes of clearances required from Authorities and arrangement of a fresh crew to operate the flight as per guidelines
"#OperationKaveri progresses further. 10th batch of evacuees with 135 passengers onboard IAF C-130J flight departs Port Sudan for Jeddah," tweeted the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Arindam Bagchi.
"An IAF C-130J flight takes off from the Wadi Seidna Air Base under #OperationKaveri. This is the 8th batch of evacuees with 121 passengers enroute to Jeddah." Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted.
The new flights on the Munich-Bangalore route will be operational three times a week, with the first flight scheduled on November 3, 2023. The flights from Frankfurt-Hyderabad will commence operations in the coming winter and both these flights represent the first new routes in Asia Pacific
As many as 128 Indian nationals, evacuated from conflict-ridden Sudan, arrived at Saudi Arabia's Jeddah under "Operation Kaveri" by the Indian Air Force aircraft C-130J flight, Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said on Thursday.
As 'Operation Kaveri' continues, 360 Indians leave Jeddah airport on a flight bound for New Delhi and will soon be reunited with their families, the Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said on Wednesday.
Now, private carriers in India are also showing their willingness to operate charter flights from India to Jeddah for evacuation. India's low-cost carrier Indigo has offered its services to the government regarding evacuation under Operation Kaveri.
