Delhi police crime branch is seeking gangster Sampat Nehra's remand in connection with a firing incident at the door of an apartment in southeast Delhi's Sidharth Nagar on April 23 this year, said a police source.
Commando, deployed in the security of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in Dehradun, has allegedly died due to sudden firing from his own AK-47 rifle.
A shopkeeper was allegedly assaulted in East Delhi's Laxmi Nagar area while he was returning home with his two sons, police said on Monday. Prima facie it appeared to be a property dispute, the police added.
According to the police, "A PCR call was received at 1.40 am stating that firing had been noticed neat Jama Masjid. Upon receiving the information, the police team reached the spot and found that the injured had been shifted to a hospital where he was declared brought dead."
The incident occurred in Tapariyan village under Bijawar police station limits in the district on Monday night. Soon after the incident, the injured woman was immediately admitted to the district hospital. Now, the health condition of the woman is said to be out of danger.
A firing incident was reported in Delhi's Krishna Nagar at Friends Centre market after the accused had a quarrel with a group of persons, police said on Sunday.
Police officers said two people were killed when unidentified men opened fire at a car near a petrol pump in Gulshan-e-Surjani. Those killed have been identified as Babar and Naseem.
